The Boys unveils first look at the Walking Dead star in season 3

By on November 6, 2021 0

The boys is gearing up for Season 3 premiere at one point, and to whet your appetite we’ve got a picture of what a The walking dead star is going to look like all super’d up.

Laurie Holden played Andrea in the AMC zombie series, as well as Marita Covarrubias in X files, and now she joins Amazon’s lawless superhero series as Crimson Countess.

True to her name, she is entirely decked out in red, from her boots to her wig and mask. It’s a pretty striking look, although her cape is surprisingly modest.

“Payback’s ab * tch,” says the legend, but against whom is she seeking revenge?

She’s not the only new cast member to join the series for Season 3. In fact, the cast is getting longer than Season 2’s love sausage, adding Black orphanby Kristin Booth, Marcellaby Jack Doolan, Sean Patrick Flanery, Miles Gaston Villanueva, Nick Wechsler and Supernaturalis Jensen Ackles.

The latter’s character, Soldier Boy, is a character who fought in World War II and is described as “the original superhero”. Much like Crimson Countess, we also received an image of him in a suit, along with an explanation from costume designer Laura Jean Shannon on how they got his look.

“Our goal was to highlight a bygone era of overt masculinity and courage,” Shannon explained. “With that pedigree, we dove head first into all-American quality cooking grounded in the practicality of a military soldier with a heavy dose of old-fashioned cowboy bluster.

“We knew the actor had to have the look and the chops of Steve McQueen with a John Wayne attitude, luckily Jensen Ackles embodies it all.”

The boys seasons 1 and 2 are available in full on Amazon Prime Video. Season 3 does not yet have a broadcast date.
