The boys Newcomer Jensen Ackles shared an intriguing detail about his character Soldier Boy’s costume – including a surprise link with SupernaturalIt’s Dean Winchester.

Ahead of The boys season three, Jensen spoke to Weekly entertainment about his role as Soldier Boy, revealing he’s gearing up for his “sixth superhero costume” in the coming days.

Offering “a little fun fact” about her character’s outfit, Jensen teased, “I don’t even know if I’m supposed to share this, but I’m not giving anything away.

“Without planning or working on my own, I managed to end up with the same kind of Soldier Boy boots that I wore as Dean Winchester.

“A different color, but the same boots.”

Explaining how the unexpected Soldier Boy callback to Dean came about, the actor said the show’s wardrobe department gave him “a variety” of shoes to choose from.

“I looked at them right away and chuckled a little [and said]“Well, I can tell you which ones I know that work,” he said, adding that the pair he picked – Dean’s pair – were also the team’s favorite choice.
