What we say: DC Shoes got everyone to practice their kickflips down mommy and daddy’s aisle in the late 1990s and 2000s. Going back to the early days of the action sports company, the brand is bringing back one of the silhouettes the most influential ones it launched in the 90s, the Lukoda.
The Lukoda debuted in the spring of 1999, and now we’re here over two decades later, and the base Black / Charcoal colourway is back. Like many DC Shoes models, the Lukoda is characterized by its sturdy construction and technical materials that make it an ideal skate shoe. The upper is crafted from high abrasion action nubuck and thick suede to provide a tough and durable core, while mesh panels are implemented to promote breathability. A two-tone rubber DC logo is applied to the nubuck side panel to mark the pair, as two-tone TR rubber lace loops then hold the cord laces securely.
Extending from the toe is a V1 Buck 5000 soft tip designed to withstand one turn after another. Internal elastic straps are used to hold the foam padded tongue and thus increase the stability of the foot while skating. Below is a sticky rubber sole with a shock-absorbing heel pad to lessen the impact on landing.
Go back to your 2000s as a skater boy by passing the Lukoda OG through DC shoes and select retailers today.
